Before another holiday descends on us, I need to post pictures from the last holiday: Thanksgiving. The Louisiana Mayfields came up to visit (except Aunt Janis who was on call for the weekend). We haven’t seen them since our wedding, which was about a 1.5 years ago. Actually, that’s a short time span between visits! Kelly and Ethan are a senior and a junior in high school, respectively. Time flies! In just five short months we’ll be in Louisiana for Kelly’s high school graduation. At the graduation we’ll see the rest of the family:  Kate and Aunt Janis.

Mom cooked Thanksgiving dinner (and it was g-o-o-d!) and Adam came over too. In all, there were eight of us there. Not a bad turnout for living so far away from our extended family. After dinner Kelly, Ethan, Hayden, and I went to Toys R Us for some Black Friday madness. Toys R Us opened at 10pm and we waited in line for about 1.5 hours. As we were standing there, the line grew behind us.  Some people waited as long as two hours AFTER the store opened before they could get in the door. For us, it was a quick in-and-out with the one big gift we wanted.

The day after Thanksgiving we went to the Newseum. I haven’t been since they changed locations. I love this museum and was glad to share it with everyone else.
