It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Our Christmas preparations started the weekend after November with a trip to the Christmas tree farm. Hayden, Jacob, and I went in search of the perfect tree. When we found it, Hayden cut it down while I was in charge of pictures (what else is new?!). Jacob slept through the whole process, but finally woke up as we were tying the tree to the roof of the car. He was a smiling, happy boy in the back of the Subaru.

When we got home, it was time to decorate. Jacob helped by going through the boxes for us, volunteering to be the tree-topper, and just overall looking cute.

To make room for the tree we had to put some of Jacob’s “baby” stuff away. We closed up the pack-n-play and the swing from the living room. Jacob is only awake for a few hours after we come home from work, and we are never home on the weekends, so changing diapers on the main level of the house isn’t such a big deal anymore. Once the tree comes down, I will be sad to see the empty space. I guess that means it’s time for baby #2 😉
